The Ghyangphedi Community Development Program is a 3–4 year initiative designed to address the interconnected challenges of poverty, limited education, and the high risk of sex trafficking among girls and young women in this remote mountain community. Beginning with economic and business projects in agriculture and tourism, the program will expand to include adult education, social awareness, and community leadership training. A central component is the newly completed Girls Hostel and Empowerment Center—funded by our U.S. partner, Global Orphan Prevention—which provides safe accommodation and access to education for up to 33 girls who previously lived too far from school. CLNF is committed to supporting these girls, their families, and the wider community to break cycles of vulnerability and create sustainable opportunities for growth.
